Madison, VA – The Blue Ridge Center for Music & Creative Arts will host a concert on Saturday evening, April 13 where it will announce its 2024 schedule for student workshops, concerts, and art exhibits and outline upcoming fundraising plans.The concert will be headlined by Scuffletown, an acoustic high energy duo consisting of Marc Carraway on guitar and vocals and John Whitlow on harmonica, accordion, flute and vocals. The and has performed a unique blend of original music and acoustic roots, blues, jazz, bluegrass, country at venues through the region for more than 25 years, recording 5 acclaimed albums along he way. Opening for Scuffletown will be the Bluegrass Masters All-star Band. This special performance will showcase some of the talented students who have participated in Blue Ridge Center programs. The band consist of graduates of the Masters in Bluegrass Workshop held in December, 2023. These young musicians demonstrate the best in local talent. Their ability to grasp the techniques needed to perform as a bluegrass band continues to grow and is guided, in part, by the faculty of the Blue Ridge Center.
